Nor-cal Valley club....Who's interested?

Hey guys I'm trying to gauge interest for a sanctioned club in the Northern California Valley. More specifically from Marysville/Yuba city area up toward Redding and all in between. If there is enough of us to get it going we should be able to have enuff comps (eight) before the end of the year and have a shot at the 2010 Nationals bid from Nor-Cal.

If you are interested in being in a Nor-Valley group please list yourself in the following list and I'll compile a master list and make contacts.....

According to the Sanctioning rules we need to have 15 individuals or more at each of the comps in order to become sanctioned. Spread the word to all your buddies and let's see if we can get a good size group together.

If you know of a good spot to hold a comp in your area add that to your post so we can get a good list of sites for the club.

The comps would be free admission with a one time fee of ($25) to enter the point series for next year. That wouldn't be due til later in the year.

I will pass the word around Redding. You can count on me and I sure a few more from here will be interested in it. We have a couple of great locations here that we can hold a comp or two. One site is natural rock and the other is a home built course. See you in June for the next comp.

Looks like we've got a good group going......I know a 3 or 4 more that haven't posted yet that'll compete so......

I'll get some dates together and post em up soon and do some scouting for locations to get a series together. Paradise Hobbies is having it's monthly comp on June 20th so if you want to meet some of the guys on the list come on up to comp with us.

Well it looks like NCVRCC is born! (Nor-Cal Valley R.C. Crawlers)


Alright guys we're gonna have to cram to get the (eight) comps in before the end of the year. I've come up with a preliminary schedule that'll get us there with a min of 2 weeks in between some comps. Once we get sanctioned we will run one comp per month.

We'll try to spread out the comps so nobody has to travel far to every comp. If we can find enough locations we may be able to run a different site for every comp. We'll get some new locations scouted out in the near future.

As far as finding a good comp location we are looking for spots with plenty of parking, easy access, restrooms on-site if possible or at least within a 5 min drive worst case.....if it's in a state park or on private property we may need permission.
If any of you guys near the TBD location can scout em out I'd appreciate it. We'll need a map and some pics of these locations so we can get em in the lineup. I'll update soon.........
