Default A Little Different Wreckluse

I never can leave well enough alone. RCP makes a kick ass chassis in the Wreckluse , but I just gota make it mine So I picked this up from 4xFord , its been beat in the past , some hack did some welding on it , and near drilled the frame in half in one spot.
I would like to have some RC4WD axles , but my wallet says maybe later. So I'm using Axials. Think I'm going to use a tranny from an Associated T10 , real similar to an Axial but alot smoother. 1.9 Roc Lox on RC4WD beadlock wheels. Sidewinder or MM on 3 cell lipo. I got a ScaleOffRoad winch in a trade and bought a 3racing controller for it. Toward Pro POS servo , it will work ok for this , I got a neat idea for the steering setup

First off I needed some different upper 4 link mounts for the Axial axles I am going to use. Needed some beef on there. I'll clean up the ends later. I'm thinking about putting some rock lights on the rear , out by the C.

Then I had to trim some FAT. I just am going a different way with the front shock mounts thats all.

I've had this light mount for a while now , I think its from DMG. I cut the mounting tab of of it and made it fit my application a little better

Well you cant have light's up there all unprotected can you ? Needed a roll bar , and I figured while I was at it I would build a roof rack into it as well.

Like I said above , I want it to be mine , different from all of the rest. Believe me it will be , I got some cool ideas for this one.

Nice work! Something about that light mount just strikes me as really cool. Maybe brace it with a small heim joint prerunner style?

I like the light bar.... you should make it into some brass knuckles, that'd be bad a$$. Rest of the build is looking good as well.

Thanks for the comments fellas. Thanks Rob for clearing that up for me.
I got a little more done today on it, upper and lower shock mounts , front window bars , servo/electronics tray. I got a bit of inspiration from the "Little Big Tex" thread. Wont be long and it will be ready to go to the powder coater for some color. I need to get a body ordered so I can hack it apart for the hood. Get some shocks ordered and get the traanny put in. So much work....

Yea , thanks a bunch for sending me those patterns for my body panels. That will be much easier.

Thanks for the comments fellas

Well I got a bit more done on the Wreckluse.
Steering done , no bump steer at all

Upper and lower front shock mounts. If my calculations are correct they should stick out the hood about 3/8" , just the cap , I think it will look cool
I'll put a bar between them after I see where the hood sets. It will be inside. I also put some bars in the windshield.

Got the tranny mounted , I'm going to put a carrier bearing setup in the rear to get the driveline out of the skid

Talked to StangKiller ( sp?? ) about a alum grill , no dice , he's outa em and dont know when he'll get more made :-(:-(:-( I'll probably get one jetted out to fit , IDK.....
I need to order parts , shocks , body , interior parts too. I'll probably get started on the floor pans and interior panels , I have a bunch of Styreen around.

More later...........

Awesome tubework for the rack/light bar.
Cool steering set-up, might need to do something similar for the 2JSC's Ivy

This is going to be a badass Wreckluse! Keep it up!

Interesting steering set up, I'm curious to see some video of it in action. What is that L made from and is there a bearing where it mounts to the axle truss?

The "L" is made from Delrin and it has a bushing in it.
