Default dieselfuel's K2-3L.

i got the chassis about 2 weeks ago now and it has been waiting on parts until yesterday. i got my links at hobbytown, shocks from run2jeepin and driveshafts at hobbytown also and the building began! im going pretty much standard issue on it, nothing spectacular, using the links and all other parts spec'd in the build document. the 60mm shocks are a bit shorter than i want so im going to order some longer ball ends for them. if that doesnt work out well, ill get a set of 80-90mm shocks. i made up some little spacers for the lower links at the chassis end to take up the slack in the link mount cut out. they're 3/16" pieces of stock TXT suspension link. lol! cuts easy and works just fine. im just running pede shafts with steel yokes on this one instead of the maxx shafts i run on my comp SW2, they're easier to set up and i already had most of what i need. last night i ordered a few sets of blackfoot stubs, and ton of bearings.
heres some pics of it so far...

Sweet, welcome to the cool guy club.

The build document actually specs the lower links as #5318. I think you have #5138. I used #5138 on my shorty, and #5318 on my longer one. When all is said and done the wheelbase is almost identical. The only real difference is the look, as one's a turnbuckle and the other is a pushrod.

And I think you should try to match up the balls underneath the suspension stay (the one the shock mounts to, and then the axle), otherwise the stay has a weird tilt.

I also think you should go for the higher ride height option on the upper shock mount. You really don't need a longer shock, in my opinion. At least try it before you decide.

It seems like everyone knows more about my chassis's than I do LOLOL. I really need to build mine up and drive more. I'm a terd when it comes to that :-)

I'm glad you like the chassis, it looks like it's coming along great.

You guys refered to a "build document" does the K2 come with list of parts to set the rig up a certain way? Just ordered mine today and I think I have bugged the living crap outta Kaetwo so I might as well as here first.

Sorry for the diversion, Want to see a body on that rig. Looks sweet.

Yeah, Kaetwo has a build doc that he will send you if you ask. It's very easy to follow. Hell, even dieselfuel could follow it (kidding).

BTW: Looking good dieselfuel

havent decided yet still trying to find WB info... i know the longbed c10 is 12.5" but i'd kinda like to do a newer body... like an f-150 or something. im at 12.5" exactly so im lookin for bodies really close to that.

Don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you need to get it up and running.

I've emailed you the build doc. If you have questions, fire away.

Enjoy!
