Sweet build. Are you going to trim the servo tray ears off the axle since you have them mounted upside down in the last few pics? Or are you going to make some pumpkin skid plates?

Yes, shure, I will cut the sleeper (clone stile).

I have also the axles trimed and painted:

I will lower the chassis a bit with sone diaz bruiser leafs, the jugg leafs let the chassis sit to high, in my opinion.

Compared to an original Bruiser

Started a little bodywork:
"the first cut is the deepest...!"

Diaz Bruiser leafs installed, the frame sits much lower now. But the rear axle went forward, I have no idea how to solve this ??

Pete, I noticed the problem with the Diaz "Bruiser" springs is that they are not long enough. They have the same arch as a Bruiser spring, but they are considerably shorter in length. Im not really sure how you would fix that...lemme think on it.

Try putting the rear springs on the front to see if that helps.

I did some bodywork on the bruiser:

Made a rearwindow frame, a toolbox and a frame where the sleeper was sitting.

I can't believe you painted the chrome TLT cases black. Seems to me it would be, oh, $20 or so cheaper to just get the stock black ones........

I really liked how it was unpainted, chassis & all.

Anyhow, good job so far.

Yes, true, but I got them once cheap on ebay for a now canceled projekt and had them still in my spareparts box. So I thought I just should use them.

Thanks for the comments, I hope to get the body primered soon.

Default Tire suggestion needed !!

While I am in the middle of painting the body, I need to make a final descision wich tires to use later.

I like the look of the HPI stock car rims really and think I should go for 1,9ers? But the tires are way to small for a crawler:

Side view, Tires to small, chassis much to high :-(

Bad: Moabs are much to big:

This is how it looks with HPI Geoīs (older pic):

I think I want to go with 1,9erīs and want a outer tire diameter like the 2,2 Geoīs ? What did you guys think? Any suggestions for a good tire in 1,9 ? Should i cut my moabs down ? Will the Highlift tires look good ?

Thanks for any help,

Pete

I am a fan or narrowed and reduced claw dawgs They are my favorite. I guess it depends on performance, a narrowed and reduced moab or masher will perform a lot better.

I also just ordered some the rc4wd 1.9s boggers, when I get them, Ill let you know how those are.

try some high lift tires instead of those bfg's or the new rc4wd tires. both are a little taller than the bfg and may look just right
