Re: Ivory

Thanks to DickyT, I pulled the trigger on a new set of Super Bully axles in the classifieds, but thanks to you I just wasted the last hour reading this thread. I've always skimmed over it, but it's always been my favorite Super...today I actually read almost all of it.

Very motivating, and once my EXO is done my spare cash will be going towards the Super. Great thread Jeremy "thumbsup"

Thanks CHUD! This truck is definitely FUN to drive! I put some packs through it this weekend and I am VERY pleased with the way the new wheels dont let the foams slide around. I did, however, kill a BRXL and a Robitronics horn over the weekend.

I did shoot some video of me driving this thing....I should have it up soon.

I was expecting a jump at the 1:05 mark.

JeremyH 10-11-2012 08:19 AM

Re: Ivory

 That's a 2.2 jump.....not enough space to land the super.

Can't you find a more scenic place to crawl? That place looks so depressing

I have to stop checking this section and this thread out. I'm already setting aside some cash for motors, but I may have to steal the ESC's from my XR-10. And I need to get some tires.

Also, I think I read the above quote correctly but did you make these yourself? I've never made tires before, but I think with the selection for supers, I may have to learn.

You can do it "thumbsup", I hesitated doing my first set for a while, but finnaly got the scissors and CA out and did it, and was very satisfied with the results .

Thanks guys! When I was out there, a HUGE cruise ship was leaving out of Galveston bay.....it made the cargo ships look like little tugboats.

If I were you, I'd steal the motors from your XR10 and set aside cash for new ESCs. IMO, the HH BRXL is the only ESC with the drag brake to hold a super tire. That Holmes Hold is amazing.

And yep, I made those tires. Not really too bad. The hardest part is figuring out how big they will turn out to be.....but I just tack glue them at first to make sure it is what I want, then go back and glue them up properly. Super tires are the easiest to make......the small tires (1.9 and 1.55) are the ones that are a pain.

BTW, I got a little tired of lugging this truck as a carry on, so I picked up a Pelican case in preparation for the BotW comp coming up in a few weeks. The truck fits perfectly!

How much does that case weigh? I was looking at them once for this sort of thing but the weight scared me off.

Re: Ivory
