Default 40 series Moabs or X-Locks or ?????

I am working on a super and right now I have a set of G8 Moabs they are alright but they aren't what I think they should be. I have a mini that will just about follow it everywhere and a 2.2 bully that will out do it no problem. I am running rovers and sedonas on them and they are what made a huge difference with them. So I am looking for some tires in a 40 series that will do as good as they do. I kinda want a set of modded tires but can't see paying that kind of money. Any help would be great. What tires do you run? Why do you like them? What do you think is the best for crawling?

Thanks

I saw it but most of them are running custom made tires. I just can't put that kind of money into some tires for one crawler. You are looking at 4 sets of tires cutting them all up and praying you don't screw up and have to get even more tires. I wish they had something like the rovers or sedonas in 40 series without having to make them.

Thats heaps weird.

I have moabs on my super, an it works great, It never seams to lose traction, Unless its on a huge camber, but i wouldnt expect it to hold on something like this \ <

Im still curious as to what else we can run.
what about those Rox locks by rc4wd? they look good. Not sure how they'd work an they come in 40s??

if you find anything else be sure to post it

Not sure if the rox locks come in 40s but a friend of mine had some on his 2.2 I think and he ran them 2 times and threw them away. He said that was all they were good for in his opinion they didn't get any traction at all on the main areas we crawl. Not sure if they have a different compound out now or not.

Anybody have any ideas which is a better tire or stickier? Moabs or X-Locks?

Moab's in the G8 compound work pretty decent.

I have a set of the g8 moabs but want something that works better. Consideringmy 2.2 will out crawl it cause if better traction in my opinion anyway and my doesn't lack much keeping up with it. The main places it can't hang is on vertical stuff cause of size. I think the super should walk off and leave the mini more than my 2.2 does. I just can't seem to get enough traction.

There are plenty of tires out there that will work better than the two listed...but they will be custom. Either you make them, or you pay someone else to make them...

I have the rok lok's on my super heavy buggy and they kinda suck, too hard, maybe in ten years of wheelin they would soften up, looking forward to trying them in the snow just because of the size of these things.

I have the INTEGY MOAB tires. and they work alright, but im going to modify the foam inside, and test it, maybe ad wheel weights or drill another small hole in the rim, so more air gets out, to flatten the tire more, so it gets more grip.

just my thoughts.
