Thanks to Dave (Diamond D) I had him take a look at it and briefly run it so we could figure out what needs to be changed before the comp yesterday, so after a bit of tuning it no longer is running droop in the rear and has the shocks internally limited to reduce the crazy amount of flex it had. There are going to be some more changes coming for this like getting rid of the delrin tubes in place of aluminum since I ripped out both servo mounts during the comp and going to put some thicker lower links on without so much bend to them to keep them from bending in half. My quest to build a reliable super that will hold up has begun! Here's a few pics from our season opener comp (Dave borrowed it also for this one).

Nice truck Chris

Ya when I 1st built my Super Switch it also had way to much articulation almost 90 deg. Went from 4" to 3.5 big bores , still had to internal limit them to reduce the articulation to a tolerable amount.

Nice pic's form the season opener

Great to see this car up and running!

For the servo mounts, usually the problem is that the servo mount screws are not long enough. You can double check the length if you look inside of the tube. Ideally, the screw should be flush with the inside of the tube. If they are even a little short, it takes a lot of strength away. Worse case, if the holes are stripped from a short screw, you can throw some brass inserts in there and there should be no issue after that.

I am excited to see where this super goes!

Helluva fresh start! I wish there was more terrain out here to flex a super on, I miss running them. Nice rig!

The front tubes had the brass inserts already and it still pulled out, the rear didnt have them but the screws looked long enough. It'll all get a look over this weekend to make sure everything is good.

The cars currently torn down getting new aluminum tubes made so I can't post any pics yet. I run sway bars in my sporty in the rear and it does make a difference making the car more stable and predictable especially in off camber/side hill situations. It works very well on a sportsman. I saw no ill effects on the super when at the comp so it will be staying on there. DLux goes into more detail on his findings since he has been running it for awhile now, but I am a believer in the benefits of the sway bar on certain cars. When I get the super back together I'll play around with it disconnected and post my findings.

Thanks, I'm very interested. Any idea what your wheelbase and track width are when it's together?

Things I wanted to check before the tear down but didn't, hopefully I'll have an answer by the end of the week.

Here's some pics from our comp today. New tubes and link mounts were made by Dan (KingGee) from 7075 aluminum to keep the servo in place and we also took the clocking of the knuckles in the rear back to neutral. Got the best pics when Dave was driving it.

Fun times with a new super in the mix. Overall its working well. Get the steering to cooperate and well have us a battle on our hands this season.

Busted the skid at the last comp, so I had my machinist Dan make me a new one piece skid out of 7075.
