Default Building your own chassis

Ok guys, i hope someone can help here.
I have had no luck in being able to get a chassis from usa to uk.
But i can get one made here, if i get dimensions. Im not asking for someone to break copyright or something just if i could get some pointers itl be cool.
I will be using super bully axle and most likey losi comp shocks as they seem the most widely used, if not advice?
I know i want about an 18" wheelbase, and about 5" clearance at the back of the chassis, 40/60 links, but how do i get the size of the chassis? Will the shocks mount on the links? Is delrin ok for chassis and links.
I apreciate all the help you can give me, we all gotta start somewhere eh.
Is there maybe a downloadable chassis template, i could even buy from one of the chassis desighners, and sort of make by licence... I dunno just a thought.
Thanks again for any help

If you like the chassis in my build I'll send you the files... theres no copy write on it and it's not for sale any where either.

Well thank you all for your pms, i think the forum outage hasnt helped with my emails..
What is the best setup, a shorter chassis about 8" with shorter shocks mounted to the links, or a bit longer chassis with shocks mounted to the axles? I would say to the links as itl probbably stop wheels catching, but are the links strong enough to take that if they are made from delrin, or is ally the wayto go for them
