Talking ticava's madtorque proyect

hey guys! my name is luis im from costa rica and i just got a mad torque 1/8th scale.

last 4 hours i have been working on it and here are some pics of my progress with it. any recomendation/opinion is welcome!!!

steering upgrade, no more stress on the steering components





lowered the servo mounting posts


motor heatsink



foams not in a star pattern just lowered from almost 2 inches to 1

packed the gears and shafts with grease

Is the "steering upgrade" a temporary fix? I would think stock steering would be a lot better. The screws sticking out of the servo horn are going to snap the servo horn and ruin the approach angle. If you want good ideas look here:

Then buy a aluminum servo horn from Robitronic and you should be good to go

the steering upgrade is acyually permanent, materials will be changed of course but the idea is working fine, now the horn assembly is set kinda loose so when pressure is applied it wont bend the horn , somewhat like a servo saver, the twist at the knuckles is not there anymore so it is working, i will be changing the links to more mmm delicate fabrication methods , that was a test but is working preety well so far

k got tired of going slow so im doing somewhat like a conversion mod fab , it will be a completely new car when im done...
thinking of getting 20tpinion on the back and 19 on the front
i have made some progress, and some pics as well check them out

6 point tire chains, rear completed and sealed the tires for waterproofing purposes







got some materials to start my conversion...



yeap cutting board for some DIY 4 link and lower links maybe something else

cleaned up the steering mod



im no good drawing but heres my attempt
