Great start Manu! |
Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg Looks great. If I had not just built a crazy exspensive 2.2 I would also be making the switch from bully to Berg based axles with all the lightweight goodness. |
Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg What are you going to use to mount the shocks to the links? |

Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg Time for some updates. Get some Parts today. Big thanks to Erik for all the nice Stuff. Should be possible to bring 2 Axles inkl. Servos under 2.5 LB so 3.5 LB for the rest of my Rig. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8008/7...4e2aa19b_c.jpg And the Steering looks good. over around 50° with no rubbing with 8" Khaos and 350 hubs on a Blast Wheel. ( with this setup is to wide around 15.5" because my delrintubes are 0.8" longer each side. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8018/7...2c30861d_c.jpg In the near future i will run some Carbonwheels with some wider hubs. This will bring me down to 14" track wide |
Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg Looking like another awesome build. "thumbsup" |
Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg Looks great Manu! For the upper link mounts, they usually work better when you put the rod end inside the mount. You can also run them on the outside like you are but I strongly suggest a cross brace between. If you do run the rod ends in the middle, you will likely just need to put a small washer or two on the inside to take up the space. |
Re: Racer`s Y-Town Lightweight-Superberg Do some work on my Super this Weekend and now she`s a Roller without Super300`s ( put some Wraith CVDs in to be able to mount wheels) Current Weight incl. electronics 2500g (5.5LB) with a lot of Steel hardware. Here some Pictures: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8022/7...a6d0e543_b.jpg Front suspension, incl. chassie doublers and 3.5" Bigbores http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8008/7...46f4683a_b.jpg Front steering and mounted Weightholder for my system with CFK Wheels http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8149/7...73e2e7ec_b.jpg amount of possible rear steer http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7280/7...18ef52a2_b.jpg i think i`m at a good starting point to save some weights. Next steps are: - CFK Wheels - Steering linkage in Titanium - Some Ti Screws - Lathe down the Bigbores - Weight system |
