| Re: 2012 Bruiser Build with a little help from rc4wd
Got a little bit of work done towards finally getting this complete. Replaced the missing screws in the wheels, changed out the white plastic for the optional black, and replaced the front leaf springs. I ended up taking out the front steel shooter shackles and attaching the leaves in the stock way. The leaves that were on it were bending the wrong way with the rc4wd shackles in the front. I am thinking about putting the shackles back but using them on the other end of the leaf, any thoughts? I also got some GMade shocks and gathered some electronics left over from other builds that will be going on this shortly. Might decide to assemble and sell the stock axles, shocks and hubs to fund some better electronics. Anyway here are some pics. |

Forgot to add a pic of the bent leaves and the electronics I will be using. I believe the controller is the one recommended by Tamiya, I know I won't be happy with the Tamiya ESC and the Futaba S3004 servos but they are temporary. Bent leaves: Electronics: |

Going to be taking things a different way and build a SCX10 or Trailfinder 2, this will be going up for sale soon.

I have two different style front servo mounts, this one has the RC4WD one which replaces the front cross member of the . I also have one from an original Bruiser which bolts under the cross member. Either way works on these since the motor is a 540 size versus the larger ones on the original Bruiser

I can't seem to find any mounts on the RC4WD website. I guess ebay? I might have to make my own somehow.

I will try and get a pic, currently in the process of moving. I checked RC4WD, even used the part number from the bag and nothing. I have an extra, will try and locate it and verify the part number.
