My New Clod

So i recently picked up a super clod kit at a good price and then after that I picked up the Rockbull chassis from RC4WD also picked up the steering kits for 4ws and the wide kit and mud slinger tires. For electronics im running the rooster crawler esc with novak 55's on each axle along with KO 2174 and KO 2144 servos. I do plan on changing a few other things but this is how it is for now.

Great looking truck! Who make that body?

Big Chris 12-30-2008 01:09 PM

Its an old body made by atomik that i had on my old savage.

Jeepial 12-30-2008 08:40 PM

Sweet rig man...It looks freakin awesome and thos tires are sick!!

bullet1231 12-30-2008 09:39 PM

im sure that body could go a little lower, its too high for my taste. looks good nonetheless..

Big Chris 12-31-2008 02:18 AM

the body could go lower but right now it doesnt rub at all and i like that i dont want to run a hacked up body but when i order the new one i might lower it a bit more

NitroX 12-31-2008 10:37 AM

I dont know why the Rockbull chassis gets such a bad rap, I have one and with a few minor tweeks, its a perfectly capable rig, I love mine! Thats a nice one you have there Chris.

pedemaster-rc 12-31-2008 11:12 AM

nice truck bro. love the body and with the mudslingers mounted it looks deadly cool.

jedsled 12-31-2008 01:38 PM

drop that body! i bet it'll crawl better with moabs, try em when you get a chance.

v4impactor 12-31-2008 05:39 PM

Sweet truck! Are those the Integy msr10 shocks?

Big Chris 12-31-2008 08:20 PM

thanks guys! the rockbull chassis is good from what i got so far. today i took it out to the sacramento location and did a new hill climb thats pretty steep i say it like 70degree and it went up with no problems. I hate how people say mine isnt a crawler just because its not a 2.2 and yea those are the integy shocks

v4impactor 01-06-2009 09:37 PM

If anyone is interested in that body style, my buddy has a few of them and is willing to sell them, so if you want contact me.

JLF 01-06-2009 10:41 PM

What a fantastic looking rig!

Great photos too!

Youve inspired the direction Im going to take! Thanks!

brownie529 01-06-2009 11:43 PM

Crappy phone camera but here's a shot of our last crawling. Big Chris in the back and mine is the yellow jeep in the middle.

Nice posing, lets see a vid!! lol...

Espeefan 01-07-2009 12:52 AM

I love the body too. I remember when you could them like that with the graphics. Looks hot. I love the tires too. Are those RC4WD tires or Imex Swamp Dawgs (is that what they call'em?) I can't quite make out the writting on the sidewalls. It's a great looking rig. How are you liking those Integy shocks so far? Been thinking about trying a set.

carzlutt 01-07-2009 11:34 AM

thats a rad looking truck!... good job. u have any issues blowing up servos? i run tires about that big adn seems to kill servos realy freaking easy. burnt up motors, broken gears. if i run a servo saver then i get ultra lame steering responce, iv been debating going to 1/4 scale servos...

thanks

doors4u 01-07-2009 12:44 PM

I love the urban camo look. Nice truck man."thumbsup"

heminutt 01-07-2009 12:47 PM

nice rig

smokin0137 01-07-2009 05:40 PM

Go with a stick chassis. You wont cut the body(I love the Ford).Crawling does not get better than a stick.Clods rule!

Nice pics.Lets go cloding,lol.

Seriosly,a stick will serve you well from your pics.

Great looking rig... Those tires are SICK and with the camo body a perfect match... I have never crawled a clod before but own 3 for bashing... NICE JOB !!!!

NitroX 01-07-2009 06:32 PM

^^^ That body is way out of proportion for that chassis, kinda goofy looking... lol

ohmyCLOD! 01-11-2009 10:10 AM

That's a sweet rig. How are those tires working out for you? They have me thinking...(never a good thing)"thumbsup"

Big Chris 01-12-2009 09:04 AM

I love the tires the grip good especially since i have weight in each wheel. I am going to pull the foam completely out and see how they run next time out. I am also looking to get the moab xl setup too

mlane1995 01-12-2009 11:19 PM

i wouldnt change anything. it looks killer with those tires. i have the 2.2 version on a jeep.

BEAST02 01-18-2009 08:47 AM

those tires are slick, has me at a tossup between them and geting the moab setup..

Big Chris 10-02-2010 11:18 AM

Ok so its been some time and the truck has had zero problems but I have had 1 servo die on me and I have been thinking of upgrading to the new Hitec HS-7980TH for the front and back

So did you make the switch to the new hitech servo. As I have recently purchased a clod axled crawler and am trying to determine the best servos to go with. Also what radio are you running for your 4ws, as I have not determined what to use yet?

Big Chris 10-08-2010 12:06 PM

Servos will be purchased next month as im saving for this months vacation hahaha but i will be getting those and running them at 6.0v to get max power. I am running a Futaba 3pk radio
