| SuperJuice link length help please
So, my other thread is the noob builds clod one, but this is a specific question, so i thougt i'd make a new thread So far, I have the clod axles, and a SuperJuice chassis. next i need to order the links. I don't know what length to get though. I am looking for a long wheelbase, on the order of 17" or larger. however, I don't know what length upper and lower links to use. Any help is greatly appreciatted. |

The best way is to make a jig out of a metal ruler. Ace has them out of 1/8 in al. you can cut it in half and have a jig for supers and 2.2 then measure the links. I find a piece of coat hanger works well for this. I also recommend making your own links but that's for another thread

I don't quite follow. How does this help me figure out how long to make the links? Suppose i layout the chassis and axles with the length i want. Do i just measure out how far the holes are? How do i get the right ride height id i do that? Also, how long shohuld the upper links be? FYI, this is my first build. The only other crawler i have i bought rtr to see if i like crawling before dumping money into a custom build. If you could clarify your instructions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

yes, you set up the chasis and axles and the wheelbase you want. then measure hole yo hole for the links, that gives you total length. then measure whatever rod ends your using from hole to the inner end. multiply that by 2 and subtract from your first measurement. that equals how long your links need to be. hope that helps! |

You can also use wood dowels for making temp links. Easy to cut and inexspensive.
