Hey everybody I just have a quick question. Does anybody know where i can find some bolts to mount the motor to the axle assembly? If not does anybody know the measurements of them? Any info would be great.

I just went to the local true value to get mine. Just take a motor with you so you get the right thread pitch.

do you guys run the metal sleeve that goes into the gear box where the motor screws pass through??? Ive heard of some guys saying you can leave them out that they are not needed and you can use the added movement to change pinion size insted of using adjustable motor mounts....

When I get around to working on mine again I plan to use the tubes.

I'm not sure if it makes much difference but it seems like it would help keep the case from cracking if you over tighten them.

Thanks for the info guys. Gixerman, i tried Ace and they didn't have anything that small, also tried Lowes and HD with no luck. Looks like i'll be ordering the screw bag for the clod axles.

Use the tubes, they do stop the cases from cracking by bracing the motor screws, stopping you from over tightening them and crushing them in, also, it spreads the strain when you jump it around and the motor cant flex on it's mounting face and cause more cracks.

Don't even think about not using the tubes, you will crack the gearboxes and after that ruin the gears as the pinion slips away from the next gear. Don't ask how I found out :(
