Default stick chassis

Can somebody explain to me how you mount shocks to a stick chassis. I see alot of clodbusters with homemade stick chassis I was just wondering how the shocks are mounted.

I guess a picture is worth a thousand words.

A piece of aluminum angle mounted to the axle brace. And yes, screws help too.
