Well, when I was heavy into clod axle crawlers and super class crawlers, the stick chassis was by far top dog of the super class rigs. It was just getting released and it was spanking all of the other chassis' everytime. I personally never had one cuz I hate how they looked, but my good friend did and he loved it....

I just made one with a Gecko 2 chassis and 45 turn motors. Its a good crawler and a good basher and there's just a unique quality compared to a SCX-10 or a Summit.

I think it all depends on your personal style. Me personally, I like the more scale looking rigs, but if you want a straight-on performance driven machine and don't care as much about the realism factor then the stick is pretty capable. It's your truck, have fun!

Stick performs good because of clearance and light weight but i'm with RMK I hate the way they look. I thought about making some changes to mine by lowering the rotating part of the stick lower to reduce axle "splay" when one wheel is off the ground but i don't want to spend one more second on it |

Found a complete unused TCS stick a week ago, after a long search for it. I plan to flip the rear gear case to extend the wheel base close to 18" and replace the rear links with longer ones. Basically using the stick with today's technologies, ie: using twin FXR's instead of super rooster, some cut and shut pin tires instead of giant trac tires and so on. Only major hurdle left is trying to score a set of TTR cvd's. should be a fun build. |

Clod Buster based crawlers were the first bigs in the history of the rc'crawlers, so if you make one, you enter in the history Isn't is a good motivation ? |

I had a clod, gecko 2 chassis and sold it. I've been regretting it ever sen. I missse. I kept the stock gearing cause there's just something fun about the way it preforms. It may fall short compared to a summit or scx10 but it will bring a smile to your face everytime u run it. Im on a hunt for anther one now
