Default a possible problem?

thi question is based towards the people who have NN chassis, with clod axles... earlier yesterday i was looking at my clod axles when i noticed it had a very slight wobble that moved left to right. Not like an intense amount, but more like 1 to 2 mm from left to right...

is this a HUGE problem, or normal for when the truck articulated...every screw is tight, and nothing is loose...

help would be gteat

I'd check for streched, or worn rod ends.

ya i thought it could have been that cause i had the chassis built with all the equipment attached to the links and everything, but no shocks, so the axles at the end of the links would always drop to the links fullest bottom point or top point with no restrictions.....

plus when i did little articulation pics without shocks, the axles would OVER articulate....

now is the problem ok like this, or should it be changed asap

What type of upper link posts are you using. I use the Thundertech Racing ones and they pivot a little (espesially after time) and allow the axles to wobble side to side a little. It's never been a problem for me.

also its not just the upper that wobbles a little, but the bottom too...
and its not just the front end of the crawler, but the back aswell...

Something has to be giving. A bolt that you have over looked is loose. Or you have a Hiem joint bad on both ends. Make sure you chassis braces are all tight also. The chassis could be causing the issues to if the braces and skid plate isn't all tighten down. Other then that. Not sure.

1-2mm?

Seems like the balls in the rod ends would give, at least, that much. I fail to see any problem here.

I have noticed alittle slop in the little brass sleeve that goes through the upper link mount on mine.
Mine has alittle slop in the heims too, just helps it flex easier
