Well the aluminum ones Jason gave you are awsome but way overpriced. Yes they did make chrome plated axles a while ago but they are hard to come by now. They occasionaly come up on ebay and there were a set on a truck that somebody on here has. Try to find some I'm sure they're somewhere.

The process in which they chrome plate will actually effect the plastic in the diff casing so they would not be as strong as standard black ones.
Just buy the standard ones ,sand them up a bit and spray them to match whatever your truck is.
I wouldn't do it but whatever gets your fancy i suppose.

RC4WD Whom I hate as a company; now sells plastic chrome gear cases as well.

I see no real reason for these, nor do I really see a reason for the aluminum ones. Aluminum as a metal gouges WAY to easy, and would wear out in pretty short order. Its pretty bling; which is the sole reason they sell I'm sure. If they had some from 16GA sheetmetal, I'd be all over that!!!! (Otherwise, Ill just made a skidplate and lose 1/2" of ground clearance ;))

I can second that from experience, chrome plated parts are extremely brittle!

i 3rd that they are brittle, it has something to do with the process they use...remember, chrome don't get ya home

If I had to guess... I'd imagine it has something to do with heat, sort of like over heat-treating a metal, makes it brittle.
