| Another Cane 2.2 Rig with Dig and more...
Just wanted to jump on after several days of building, and say THANK YOU to all who advised on this project: Dez - for the inspiration, RD400 for accepting a million phone calls, and Zorlac for taking me out today and throwing me "in the fire" on some WICKED, W I C K E D, rocks! Truck works very well, got the hang of the "dig" in no time. Not too shabby for a newbie.... Stats: Pimp Cane Chassis - Thanks Run2Jeepn! Erickson Clod Wheels TTR CVD's, Straight axles, Aggressor BTA Steering DezDig Setup - Appliance Switch, 3003 Servo, TLT servo mounts 65t Motors, 10T Orion 3200 LiPo Rebel 2 4 tons of elbow grease Things I learned: $20 servos are good for TLT's NOT clod rigs , a Hummer body is NOT the best choice of lids!, Choose your body mounts WISELY, they WILL bend!!! Here's some quick pics.... Again thanks guys, TRULY, for all the help and advice. BTW, thats a TC3/4 Graphite Battery Strap cut down for an electronics mount. (Hey!! I thought of that all by myself!) Not to bad. That body looks huge on there. Might try the H2 SUT body. Better scale for a 2.2... I love those beadlocks...

Man, you must have harassed RD400 a ton for those wheels. I have sent him a few PM's for a set, have never heard from him... :( Nice looking rig! I keep debating turning my Super into a 2.2 Class. |

I thought about a bug body, but I figurd Dez would call "foul" if I copied him that close... Now all I need is the cash to build some "million dollar" Moabs... Thanks for the compliments. Any ideas on a cool, unique body???? |

I saw someone put a stadium shell on his clod and it looked awesome. Never thought about using a CORR truck for that before.

| If you are going to Compete with it. I'd say Bug... Hell I Copied dez's Set up to the T almost. a Bug body is the only way to go for a Comp rig.

Decided on a body by default.... Escalade EXT. Shaved to the bone. Got it at a discount. (No, not five finger) But there wasn't a bug body to be found in the KC area. I'll snap pics after I lay down some cool paint on it. Shaved it doesn't look so big. That damn Hummer body hit on EVERYTHING! I'll also take a pic of the Dig Setup. Different than Dez's (simpler). I just used two TLT servo mounts, a couple washers and mounted it right to the axle brace, simple simon. Credit still goes to Dez. I would have NEVER found that switch until he told me to go to Westlake!!! |

Cool, can I start charging Grunt franchise fee's?lol: In a comp situation, use the most advantageous body you can kind! Small, narrow, rounded are all good, check out the e-zilla body, it's what I'm using at the moment! |
