Default Steering help after installing diff. locks Clod

I have recently locked both diff's on my Super Clodbuster and now I have a BAD steering problem. Going forward the rear steering works fine, front stays almost streight, just the oppisite in reverse. When the truck is off the tires the steering seems to work fine.

Please help!

Thanks!

Are you using stock servos? Sounds like it. A locked clod will require a much stronger servo than stock.

Using Tower Hobbies TS-70 106.7 @ 4.8v 133.3 @6.0v But what gets me is if the servo turns one set of wheels it should turn the other since they are both linked to the same servo horn.

If you're still running a stock steering linkage setup on your Clod, the strongest servo in the world will not overcome the looseness of the stock Clod servo savers. Make sure those are tightened correctly, and that your steering links aren't flexing. It sounds like that's probably where your issue lies.

We offer an aluminum upgrade for the stock plastic servo savers, but without an upgrade to the links you'll just be moving the steering system flex from one part to another.

The TS-70 servos work fine for a 2.2 but just wont cut it for a super class

How are you powering your servos? If you are just using the BEC off a lower end speed control, they probably aren't getting enough juice.

Ok Brett I bought your alum. steering kit str-2 and the steering linkage kit str-1, there were NO directions, the str-2 is easy, but the str-1 I could use some help with.

Thanks

Richard
