Default TCS Stick or Pimp Cane?

I've got my axles, looking to build one of the two, in an 18" wheelbase. Not for comps, just for fun. Anyways, I was looking at the TCS Stick, but the website says they are out. Are there any advantages or disadvantages of one over the other? I know the pimp cane doesn't use shocks, but is there anything significantly better about that setup?

Any input is appreciated.

This will open a can of worms.

Here is my simple answer. I could go on, but you mentioned that your truck will be a backyard basher. Go with the Pimp Cane. Just for the mear fact that the price is lower.

x2, cheaper, less parts to mangle, prob lighter (maybe?), and with a name like pimp cane how can you resist?

Only from those who own Sticks, but your right. For just a general basher, you will get all that you need from The Pimp

Sorry, I should have realize this is probably often debated. So far there is 2 votes for the pimp cane, and I like the idea of cheaper. Without getting into a debate, is there any attributes that one has that the other doesn't? I.E. any reason to justify the extra cost of the stick?

Get a pimp cane they work. Advantage, cheap, easy to set up, dosen't matter if your back yard bashin or at a comp the PC is a proven winner. I have not seen any advantages over the PC to justify the price of a TCS stick. Maybe somebody can prove me wrong but it hasn't happend yet.

I Have a TCS Stick crawler and my Dad has the pimp cane. I run the TCS chassis with the moab xl's he also runs these tyres..I also run the same turn motors as he does.I run a Tekin rebel2 esc and he runs a mamba max. I can out crawl him since I got the 18' backbone on alot of things. With the heim joint be slighty raised off the clod axle the TCS stick has slighting more Ground clearence which can be pretty useful. His backbone is around 17''. I would go for the TCS if you have the money to put into your rig. I prefer TCS stick as you can adjust the suspension if needed. I have notics when we are crawling on some local sea defences. With it being torsion one of the rear tyres can hang of the rock and turn your over due to not enough articulation when needed. Either way you can't got wrong with either of the chassis's. I just prefer the TCS stick of the pimpcane.

Personally I like the Stick, but if your just going to bash around, then cheaper is usually better so I say Pimp Cane

If the store says they are out, Get the CFNN. It was my first chassis . And my second.

They amount of adjustments you have with it is a great point.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the pimp cane, 2 1/4 scale servos, 2 75T motors, and a set of 7 and 9 tooth pinions. I decided that I really liked the idea of no shocks, I really am a big fan of simplicity. That, and the great price and customer service sold me on it. And all the votes for the cane on this thread didn't hurt either!
