RC4WD CR-01 axles, RockStar 2.2 rims and black internal spring shocks with boots Pro-Line Ambush body and MOAB 2.2 tyres Atomic side and servo plates 3 Racing driveshafts, servo L-brackets JunFac skid plate and straight axle adapters for rear RCScrewz hex head screws throughout Novak Goat Crawler combo ACE DS1313 servo CC BEC (6A) Futaba R137F Rx Body is painted the same was as the Blazer I just posted. Rust on the inside, green on the outside, so when is scratches it looks more realistic. And yes, I do plan to scratch it. It might look like a shelf queen, but it isn't going to be. The chassis is freshly rebuilt using parts that arrived yesterday. The shocks are still a little stiff, the geometry needs work again to suit the shocks, and the whole thing needs running back in to make sure everything works. I don't like the 3-Racing driveshafts because of their silly colour, but the Punishers I have bind at this angle, the HR ones can't be tightened until I find a rare 1mm Allen key (which they should supply with them), and I haven't had chance to modify the others I have (HPI or traxxas I can't remember!). I want the whole thing to sit lower anyway, so if I decide to go back to a droop arrangement, I will also return to the Punishers. |

In fact there is still a lot of plastic. The battery tray (but not the tray battery holder - that's metal) and electronics decks are still original, the body posts, the spacers on the rear bottom links, and the planetary housing. The ends of the steering rods are plastic, because they came with the JunFac chunky rods, and they look good on them, but all the other rod ends are RC4WD metal ones. By the way, that makes alignment of the links a real pain in the ass, but does mean they can't pop off like the plastic ones do all the time. The body posts could be metal I suppose, but I don't want more of that damn blue. The electronics deck will be carbon as soon as that arrives. They don't make a planetary housing in metal yet, that I know of, and the spacers will be metal when I find the two thin ones I have. The hex hubs are metal too. Promise.

there is an easy method for removing the ugly blue anodizing . dip the part in that crap used for oven cleaning (don't know what brands you got in the UK). the blue will be gone in a matter on seconds. |

I like Your paint great colors it just sits way to high on your chassis you need to get another shorter set of body posts.

looking good ! very cool parts, but the rig is a bit too tall for me. doesn't need shorter body posts... it's shocks. you must have a lot of time and $$$ in that. lets see some action shots |

Tough crowd. Like I said, guys, I know it's too tall. It's going to be drooped and the shock springs are stiff so it sits high. I left it like that for the pictures so you could actually see the chassis underneath. As for oven cleaner to remove the blue, I've heard about it, but with anodised aluminium doesn't stripping the anodisation off leave the aluminium to tarnish? Won't it just end up dulling? |

Anyway, the verdict is to lower, and that was always the plan. I've done it now anyway. Just need to fiddle with the shock locations a little more, but other than that I'm happy.

Looking great - the color combo is excellent (part from the blue parts) and great pictures as well. When you drop the body, it will look killer.

Yeah tell me about it. I don't know why they even have to colour the stuff like that. I know some of the Tamiya metal parts are blue, and the Axial parts are green. But when third party companies do the same thing it feels like they're trying to be something they're not. Feels false. That's one of the reasons I wanted to use the HR driveshafts I've got. I think they look much neater, and they're better thought-out. IF ONLY they Thanks! :-D

You popped a bead on the left rear! Looks awesome though! BTW, I stripped the anodising off my blue links then buffed them with a rotary Dremel. They are now just unfinished aluminum and they haven't tarnished yet. Even going out in the rain and snow. I could just buff them again if they do start to tarnish. | Yeah I realised that, but only when I took the wheels off! Bloody Moabs are a pain. I'm getting rid. But in fairness to me, it got popped when it was actually being used going up some concrete junk. Kinda depressing that I didn't notice it in my own photos. Goes to show that I'm too busy looking at the pictures and not what's in them. Speaking of tyres, I'm having trouble with my new ones, too. RC4WD Rock Stomper 1.9s, on Python rims. The tyres have too deep a beadlock for the rims, so when you tighten the rings the tyre squeezes out. Anybody know of a solution for this? |

Looks much better! Lowered body and correct sized tires/wheels is how you do it! When will people ever learn that 99% of the time 2.2's and scale don't mix. Let's see more pics!
