| Wheel Speed 35T vs. Mabuchi 27 Turn
Hello I was wondering how much slower a motor like the CR-tuned 35 Turn motor would be vs. The Silver Can Mabuchi 540 motor? I like having a little speed with my CR01, but would like to try the higher torque crawler motor!

| kev187 I bought that same motor and it should be here this weekend. I will let you know how the wheel speed is. If you want the same wheelspeed as the 27 silver can mabuchi motor you can get the 35 turn motor and increse your pinion tooth count, up one or two teeth and your wheelspeed should be similar as the stock 27 turn with a 20 tooth pinion. |

the tamiya 35t with stock pinion will give you 7km / 4.3mph . i got a speed meter on my rig and tested both motors so these are pretty accurate numbers.

I have a Team Broad Handwound 35t, and it's the same if not a tad faster, but the torque is way more. Get a hand wound 35t , either HH or Jp customs are venders here, I went with Tean broad only becasue they are the only ones I could find that had one in stock at the time. |

update I installed the new 35 turn motor the wheel speed is down a little bit. but torque is up a bit motor temperatures are down a bit. I reused the stock 20 tooth pinion that comes with cr-01 kit. |

What voltage are you running? If your not yet, throw a 3 or 4 cell lipo to it. A 35t does pretty good on a 3 cell.

Give it time. I once thought an 8 cell Sub C pack is all a guy needs. Back then,my final ratio was up close to 100:1 even. I'm now running in the neighborhood of 38:1 final and 3 cell lipos in everything....pondering 4 cells. Try bumping up to 7 or 8 cells,if your used to only 6 cell packs, adding 1 or 2 cells will help allot.

I love it! This motor gave me incredible torque (15.9 at 7V to be exact) and gave me some wheel speed to boot - I used the factory pinion, no changes. The bottom line is that I was able to get the best of the two worlds with the Warrior II - Torque+Speed+Low RPM Control. Let us know what you end up using, so far I have tried 3 motors in this rig: 1) JP Customs Warrior II 35T 2) Holms Hobbies TourqueMaster P-94 45T 3) Banzai Motors Handwound 55T
