Default TLT 2.2 hustlers, battery placement?

hey guys i got a question.. ill be building a hustler soon, will 8 cell saddle packs from holmes hobbies fit on a TLT hustler? im running CVDs with wide hexes and ill probably have a custom made servo/link mount plate. im also looking at going lipo but im not sure yet. it'll depend on the budget. im pretty sure my current battery setup will not work on a hustler, ive got an 8-cell elite 1500 pack behind the servo on an aluminum plate extending back from the servo mount plate. anyway i seel axial axled rigs running saddle packs and was wondering if TLTs with CVDs would be wide enough to clear them...

That is how I have mine. TLT axles, with 4 cells on each side of the servo.

This photo shows only 3 on each side, but I added an extra cell on each side and have no clearance issues.

if you stand the servo up...yes, thats what i have right now. im running the "wide" spacers in the front and narrows in the rear and its perfect for me.

Aaron had special cut aluminum upper links to fit a lipo on them as I recall.

I put a tower power 2 cell lipo under the front hood panel, cut two slits on panel and used a Velcro strap to hold battery down.
