Default pede to tlt axle shafts

hi guys, i have recently picked up a tlt based scale rig. its got a stampede tranny with tlt axles...
make a long story short, it dropped a front driveshaft coming up the root section today. i need to know what i need to do to get this repaired.
the stampede shaft has two flat spots on the shaft, and the tlt axle has one.
the joint broke on the axle side. i tried to ziptie it for temp, but no go.

thanks in advance.

Not sure if I follow. I have run a TLT/Pede combo for years using Pede shafts. Do you have metal yokes? Pics?

You can drill a hole through the TLT output and use a longer grub screw that goes completely through the yoke and the pinion (on the axle). If you get those metal yokes, you'll need to shave off the lip for them to fit properly.

Just go get a new shaft. Then round out one side of the square hole so that the Tlt pinion shaft will go in.
I run a set screw all the way through the driveshaft flange, and pinion on mine.

Sorry, but I just know that searching the forum a bit would get you the answers. Other people told you to go get some too, just nicer.

These are very common parts found in you local shop or online. I found all the info you need by searching this GREAT forum. So here you go...

Two choices for yokes:
Traxxas Steel Drive Yoke Set (2 each) #4628X $17
Traxxas Plastic Drive Yoke Set (2 each) #4628 $3

I use the steel yokes.

Finally, you may want to get drivelines (male/female) with u-joints too:
Traxxas Stampede Half Shaft Set (2 each) #1951 $5

After you get the yokes, do like Redrover and JeremyH said to.

I run a pede tlt combo aswell I use pede drive shafts with the traxxas steel yokes...All of the steel yokes had a collar on them their fine on the tranny side but on the TLT side I cut the collars off letting the yoke slide on all the way allowing the grub screws to grab the axle shaft propperly

No probs to date but do yourself a favor and grab some Axial collars they fit the pede shaft perfect...

Cheers...MJH

cool thanks.
i did use search and found that guys were using the traxxas parts to make this shaft. given the way things change so quickly with this hobby i wanted to see if there was any newer ideas on this. i wasn't sure if anyone found a cross fit.
you know...
" oh hey... we use wheelie king shafts and they bolt right up ! " kinda thing.

thanks all again for the answers and efforts.

I am sure you can use others, but the pede parts are so easy to get.

good luck.
