revamped the tlt

got bored with my old setup and made a custom chassis, longer links, etc.
once this gets tested in its current config i will make permenant links.
also need to add some front wheel weights cause this thing is light as a feather!

Quite a steep angle on those links. Lets get a nekkid pic please! It looks like a CF chassis ??

ya i would like to find a bigger body, but i dont want a big 1/10 body. i have been scowering the lhs to find something like 1/12 scale.
the truck is sitting higher than normal there as i just set it down, so it actually sits probably 1/2" lower once the springs settle out.
i will try an get some nudey pics later.

Very nice! That looks awesome!....Home Stinko is better than Lowes :flipoff:

Are those Imex tires?

hey dude, just looking at that pic again, you need to ditch the bumpers and move the steering links above the knuckles. i see that you have 3 of the batts on the back axle. get the other three on the front upper links or the steering servo. that will help it alot with climbing. try to lock out the rear axle without the bumper if you have the bumper on it right now. check out how i did it.
here is the front.

and here is the rear.

i sleeved my front links in some 1/4 inch aluminum tubing. if that isn't strong enough i am going with some 1/4 inch stainless steel tho. the rear is some 6/32 allthread with aluminum tubing. works really well.

cheers

i have all 6 cells mounted on the rear axle. it weighs in at 4lbs even RTR. i was going to add some front wheel weights to help hold down the front end. having the cells on the rear just worked out better.
as for the front bumper i was thinking about some sort of nose rail or something in place of the bumper. i just dont like the idea of leaving the front unprotected.

harris

emaxxjeremy 08-28-2005 06:40 PM

ya i will cut the other 2, but it is very messy, so i am in no hurry to breathe rubber again
