why 14"? seems a bit long. to long to perform well. not to mention not really qualifying for comps. if you do intend to keep that wheelbase though you might look into some wheel wideners. would improve looks and probably performance dramatically.

14" wheel base is just what it came out at with the links that I had I have considered shortening it to like 12" but I haven't taken the time to try to find links that will work. I am too lazy to build my own links plus I don't really have the tools at home to build them.
Thanks for the comments and advice.

Im not gonna lie I dont like the body cut, just too little in the front and its all there in the rear. looks good though, like the shocks and frame. I was going to get the revo rods, glad I know they will make it that big now. You should flip those mashers around.

I had to narrow the front that much to solve rubbing problems I dont really like how narrow it is either but I don't have much of a choice I was considered narrowing the rear too. But it doesn't need it.

Are measuring your WB from spindle to spindle or to the edges of the tires? Do you know the length of those rods? I know there are two lengths, 4 9/16" and 5".

And I think the Mashers are pointd in the right direction. I tried flipping mine around to test to see if it made any difference and it didn't. In fact, it made it grab onto rocks and ledges worse.

I shortened my wheel base to 12 3/4" by getting diffrent front links I also got TG-10 axels, that widened it about 1/2" it looks better and turns better next I am going to lower the body some.

For you're first crawler, I'd say you did a great job. I'm sure you'll be cganging and tweaking things on it until your satisfied. There's always room for improvement. Nice rig.

Run2jeepin: I had some rubing issues until I put the TG-10 axels on and used the wide wheel hexes instead of the narrow I also used a traxxas ball link ball and a long screw and put the ball in the middle of the bracket that my shock mounts to, and then mounted my shock on the inside of the bracket instead of in the middle of the bracket to move the bottom of my shocks in to help with clearence issues. You can kinda see what I mean in the very bottom pic.
