Default Touring car shocks?

Has anyone else tried using touring car shocks on there crawler??? I have been using them and they work awesome, it keeps your cog low and if mounted right you can get great articulation from them...My current cog is about 2 1/4''. Is there a down fall to these???

I'd say as long as they work good for what you are doing then no. It's not common to see this done, heck I never have, but most people use what works best for their rings and their driving style.

Got any pics of your rig?

post some pics of your setup so we can admire.

I imagine touring car shocks should be alright if mounted onto the links, but making link mounting points is a pain, so most TLT-based rigs just use the stock TLT mounting brackets somewhere on the axle.

Yeah, same chassis, basicly the same setup. Your links are a little different on the mounting. If you have some packs specifically for your crawler I'd rip it apart and solder a custom pack, to help get the CG lower, get the weight as low as possible.

Close, not quite. It will go to just under 45* max. To be honest, that is plenty, I have more articulation than a lot of the Utah people. Most people are limiting their travel by quite a bit.

BOB did my piant job on my titan for Moab. he's a little bent now that i hacked the s**t out of it but he is one hell of painter.nothing like going out paying $35.00 for a body and then having him paint it just so i can cut it apart, oh well it was worth every penny

billy,
45 degrees! very nice. I might have to think about building my chassis a little longer now ;)

Yeah, it seems most people are going as close to the legal 12.5" as possible. I'm a hair under 12 1/8" right now, and don't plan on going any longer.

Special, yeah your Titan does look awesome too. I'm really happy with my body, i run it a little tall, but the wheels fit in the stock wheel well, without too much rubbing.
