ive only broken one so far. i changed from the 55t lathe motor to the stock 540 tamiya motor and was railing it pretty hard. i had been beating mine pretty good until then too, i think i finally hit it just right. it took about 6 months or so though.

Yup. Broke 2 just inside the ear for the knuckle but had the same problem that OIT_TLT was probably having---too much rally time. I also have one spare housing on hand(they are like 4$ a pop)

I've never broken a housing! I've broken a couple axles and wheel axles. TLT axles are pretty stout in my opinion...

Im wondering if crawling in the cold weather has something to do with it. The last time this happened a buddies crawler rolled back on top of mine and it broke. just a lil frustrated is all...Since then I have ordered 5 housings, hope I dont go through them all thank god they're only $4....

Still on my original housings and I have put quite a bit of abuse to them. We even crawl at below freezing temps.

I found a hairline crack near the kncukle but that's the closest I got. I strip ring and pinions a lot though. The ring gear appears to be the weaker of the two. Time to try shimming and some better grease.
