Talking Mitch's latest creation...the RockShark

Here's Mitch's latest rig, TLT design #538... I swear, everytime I go over, it's a whole different rig with a new body...

Some of the current design features are:

custom chassis
full-length kydex skidplate with stampede tranny mounts
revo progressive 3 susp. and steering links
modified maxx shocks (double rod ends with white losi springs)
super rooster
958 airtronics (front) 645MG (rear)
modded TQ3
heavily cut JATO body
thundertech wideners
stampede wheels w/rock rings (my design )
Imex swamp dogs
stampede sliders w/steel output yokes
mini hi-lift and spare axleshafts mounted to body
no body posts - body velcro'd to skidplate

on to the pics!!...

Jato body looks sharp. I take it you wanted more wheel spin out of your lathe motor?

the dual batteris will create more power. if its pos to pos and neg to neg then its parallel.

btw nice rig. do you actually have a jato or did you buy the body separate?

Default no fast and stupid here.

The jato is good for one thing rippin warp 9 down the street And rippin tires off the rims.I dont have one and have no intrest in one.It is however the badest stadum truck out there. The body is very light, it and the skid way only a few oz.And my trucks overall hight is really short but it still has good breakover angle.I run old school import cars 1975 and older.no shoping cart impersonations here thanks.

I made the rings on a lathe by turning down a chunk of aluminum, and drilling/boring the center hole. Then, (since I'm too lazy to set up the rotary table... ), I printed a 1:1 drawing of the hole pattern on sticky paper. I then cut out the ring on the paper, placed it on the aluminum ring, then center-punched the locations of the holes. Then I drilled the holes out on the drill press.

Kind of a PITA, but they turned out pretty good. I'll try to get some better pics of them tomorrow.
