| Axle Brace
some of you might of seen this pic from yesterday and some of you have broke the axle in the same place before. i made these braces to hopefully help with the problem. you think they'll work? the material used was some .020 aluminum and button head screws. |

I'm going to start glueing the ears onto the other half of the housing. Just a spot of good plastic CA should beef up the housings alot. Then if you need to tear into the housings you can cut the glued spot with an x-acto knife, and repair as needed.

went out today for a little bit of testing. we went to the same local spot where i broke before and so far so good. there wasn't a spot that i felt the braces stopped the crawler. i'll report if anything changes.

if you find that the button heads catch on rocks id suggest using 1/8th alum and counter sinking them... otherwise they look good

thats the same exact idea i had in mind to stop the cases from breaking like your did. i just never got around to it lol. let us know how well the axle cases hold up and if you plan on selling bracing sets.
