| TLT Stock Drivetrain.........Weakest Link??
My truck still uses the stock transmission and I just got done locking the center diff with JB Weld. The axles are also locked with JB Weld. With nothing left to slip or spin I'm wondering what is going to break under high stress circumstances. (Mostly so I can get some spares now) I'm guessing my dogbones will hold up. That leaves the belt, pulleys or the spur gear. Ideally I'd rather fry a spur gear because it's easier to replace and cheaper, but the belt looks kind of wimpy. However, I saw a pic once from a guy who stripped his top pulley. Any experiences with broken/stripped parts? Advice on minimizing damage is welcome. |

Haha... that was me with the pulley The weakest thing I have heard about is the drive axle that goes from the axle diffs out to the steering knuckles, right where the dogbone like end is, I've heard it snaps under high power/ lots of steer/lots of strain. |
