Default tlt wheel question

i asked this in the newb forum with not response so i thought i'd ask here since it is a tlt question.i'm putting traxxas 8 hole style wheels on my tlt but when i put them on there is only about 4 or 5 threads left not enough to reach out to the nyloc section. the stock tlt wheels have less material between the axle nut and the wheel hex. will a spacer kit solve this?

I'm pretty sure I answered that in the newb forum. You can drill out the center a little bit to expose more threads, or like Tank said, get blackfoot stub axles. Tobee craft wideners will also fix that problem but that's a more expensive solution.

kb i wasn't ignoring you post in the newb section i just wanted some more advice mostly on the spacers. i figured if i wasn't able to remove the excess perfectly it might introduce a wobbel . i know that the wheel hex is usually what keeps the wheel spinning true but sometimes if the surface the nut goes on isn't true it will also make it wobble

I don't think you have to take off too much and the pressure from the locknut most likely will keep it pretty straight. It doesn't have to be absolutely perfect since the speed is so slow...

Well, if you're really worried, you can probably pick up those blackfoot axles at the hobby shop. They can't be too expensive...

I use Gmade wideners that I got from the Crawler Store. They work good enough for me. And they're only $25 bucks or something.

Tobee craft wideners are more money but they replace the entire axle stub with a new assembly. I have a set of those as well and they seem to work dandy as well.
