Default My First SW2 build (Update - New Graphics)

This was my first attempt at building a crawler. It was a lot of fun. I still have a few things to work, but overall it performs great!

Tell me what you think!

Here are the specs:

SW2 chassis 12.5" wheelbase
Rubicon body (special thanks to my dremel)
Locked TLT axles with bearings
Locked Pede tranny
G-Made wideners
RC 4WD rims and beadlocks
Moabs with star cut foams (cut in half)
65 turn Integy
Novak Super Duty ESC
HItec 645mg servo
Spektrum DX3
Home-made links (threaded rod and brake line)
Aluminum shocks with Losi white springs

Body off shots will come when I run all of the wires neatly.

Thanks to Bender for the tech support.

Nice build. The SW2 is an awesome chasis. Those wheels are also looking very good......rc4wd, right?

Looks Great. I have always liked those Wheels. How do you like the 65T? What spur and pinion are you running?

I am currently running 12/87. That's just what I threw on during the build. I would need an experienced crawler to tell me if it was good or not. I don't have any trouble creeping over objects. Wheel speed is good enough to get me over stuff also. It tops out at 3 mph.

I've never run a 55 turn, so I don't know how to compare the two.

I am up for suggestions on gearing if anyone has figured out a good setup for a 65 turn.

I ran a 14t pinion and 84t spur with my 65t lathe, I liked it alot. I also ran a 17t pinion for a while, for a little more speed.

That's quite a bit different than mine. Like I said, I don't have much to go off of. I think I have the right gears for that combination. Maybe I will try it out.

Gearing is terrain specific too. If you have real grippy rock you don't need much wheelspeed. It the rock you run on is slippery, wheelspeed is usually needed.

Nice build man. I doesn't get much better than that. Especially for your first crawler. You apparently used the search button.

I made these graphics at work today. It's pretty simple, but I like it.
