Shaft Rubbing (not the good kind)

I've got a SW2, used 1/4" Delrin for links, regular pede shafts, but I tried to go with a more forward balance, wound up being about 55/45. Anyway, when the front right articulates, about 3/8" short of full compression the shaft rubs the upper link. I tried to move the links on the axle out (toward the wheels), but still rubs. I have two thoughts:

1. Move the inboard upper links up on the chassis, to the area with 6 holes in it (if you have this chassis, you know what I mean) That will make the links parallel with the lowers, but solves the rubbing problem.

2. Shim the tranny to center the shafts. The problem with this is the balance. The motor already leans out the side, and that would make it worse.

Any epiphanies? Would moving the inboard upper link mounts up negatively affect the handling? I see that as the better of the two, just don't want to go through all the hassle and cause more problems than I solve.

I'd move the links up on the chassis. Some guys like to run their links parallel, that's what those holes are for.
