| Turtle
Meet Turtle, my cute little TLT comp crawler. It has all the tlt crawler basics. A 65T lathe motor pushing a locked pede tranny. Stampede drive shafts with steel yokes. Moabs with sliced and diced foam on HPI rims, glued in hexes. Lots of lead in the rims to keep Turtle on its paws. Tekin Rebel 2 esc and a Hitec 645mg servo to toss them wheels around. Now for the not so standard stuff. Behind the axle steering with a very unique servo mount which you will see in some pictures I will post later. And a offset Torsion stick, well thats becoming standard these days. I'll start with some pictures from todays comp, thanks to Kevin and Erik for taking pictures of my trucks today. I will take some off body shots of it soon. The truck did very well today with a total score of 14 after two very challanging courses. I took a 14 on the first course and a 0 on the second. The first course had one very hard section that caused problems for everyone. But it was possible to make it... Though it should have been a bonus gate. |

Thanks, The torsion is working great, I wouldn't change a thing on it right now. The wheel base is a little short at 12 inches, could add another half inch. But it seems to work well at 12. Here are some off body shots. The can of never dull is 3.4 inches tall. |

| What do a turtle and a blonde have in common? Once they're on their backs the're screwed! When I was taking picks of his rig, I was hoping to capture a picture of it on it's back (like he always seems to catch of mine), but it never happened. This rig is seriously setup nicely. And that first course was a p.i.t.a.! As a witness I can say, very nice truck! But everytime I look at it, all I can think of is the theme song to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles |

Sorry I kept Turtle on its wheels at the comp Kevin... Maybe next time I'll give you a good shot under its skirt And thanks Highmark. After I made the new axle plates and mounted up the backbone I started toying with that idea. It didn't take long to figure out a good mount for it. And this thing has a ton of steering now, I love it :-P |
