Well it hasnt got much of a change but for some dam reason my links are near what I wanted, I mean they are 108mm and 137mm- same size as Eeepees and all other trx revo/maxx link set up!

I didnt make them, and I think when you cut CF you have to epoxy the ends and I dont have epoxy, and stuff.

I think im going to send my whole truck to insane and tell him to put all four links up, I will supply everything but epoxy, hacksaw, & vise!

If you are reading this David LMK how much to cut em smaller, the top links that is? I will send the whole truck and LMK on pricing Thanks bro I love hte links tho!

When you mock up the uppers, what wheelbase do you get? They look about right...

Instead of cutting your new links, why not play around with the mounting positions. I've tried about 15 different configurations of the stock brackets. I've put the shock/link mount on the top, bottom and center and turned them around front to back. It looks like if you turn your upper mount around, so the link mount is facing away from the truck, and the shock mount hole is toward the truck it may effectivly shorten the link by moving it further over the axle. Play around with where you have each link mounted before you cut them!

Hey buddy,

I think I would do as everyone says and try some different positions first. Here's an example, could you drill 4 more holes in the chassis just a little upward of where the tranny goes, and further in to shorten them to the lengths you need for the lowers to fit? May be worth a try before cutting them. If that doesn't work I can go ahead and repair it anyway you like. Just let me know.

Sincerely,
David

This chassis has near no triangulation so if I put the holes up more it would be opposite of the triangulation that I need!

Am I missing something or do you not have any top link mount plates on your axles? If not I would sure triangulate and give that a try.

I think David is right on this one. I think your bottom links are your top ones. But you need an upper link/ Servo Mount to use those. Your uppper links are your bottom links. If you keep your links at the angles they are at your axle will not be very steady.

I think im going to cut the top ones shorter because the wb is too long, its at 13-13 1/2"s!

tahts the interesting thing about the suspension you dont get the side to side walk and you gets lots and lots of unbinding flex you pretty much have to see it to beleive it

Watch your knuckle with the Dremel. Good looking chassis, BTW.

Maybe a dumb question, but, what's keeping your axles from moving side to side? Are you going to run a panhard rod to locate your axles, keep them centered in the chassis? With the uppers and lowers mounted above each other like that, your axles are going to move left and right at will.Maybe I just can't see the pics that well.
