Default Price of TLT Axles vs. whole kit

well.. as it turns out, it is actually cheaper to purchase the whole tlt kit and use what you need. Through tower hobbies this is what i came up with:

almost $80.00 bucks without shipping and still missing a bunch of little parts... So, a word to the wise... just buy the whole kit.

Yeah it amazes me that almost daily someone asks if they really need to get the whole kit. No brainer. You don't even have everything to build the axles in that list. C-clips and other hardware would add to the price. My TLT box is still half full with junk I haven;t found a use for yet.

PS
you forgot the mounting brackets and some stuff from the screw bags (two different bags I think) in your pricing.

Thanks for going through the exercise to illustrate the point, though!

That would be a great image to add to the tlt FAQ.

the tlt kit is worth the price just for the axles and all the great hardware you get. i just finished building a custom rig using a a junfac tracer conversion kit as the basis for it. i would haven't been able to do any of the custom little tricks that i did to increase the performance of the truck without having that box of tamiya hardware
