Default Bulu 2 skid plate??

Hey guys, I spent the last few minutes searching and I cant find anything or really any good pics... I want to make a skid plate for the bottom of my bulu 2 chassis as its wide open right now. I saw a pic or 2 with people who had aluminum skid plates but cant find a good pic. I was also thinking it might be better to have one made out of delrin. Do any vendors make a skid for these? Or do you guys have any pics or any suggestions.
Thanks
-Mike

Well, in the past people have cut aluminum or lexan skids and double-taped or siliconed them to the tranny. Another way would be to make little bent-up mounting tabs that wrap up the side of the chassis and attach to the screw holes...

send a pic I have a little extra delrin from the old VS chassis', that I may be able to help with. I also have some extra aluminum or sheet metal.

Mike, I will get some pics of mine when I get home, I have a B2 and B3, both with custom skids. They are pretty easy to do, like Ryan said.

I can also do the sheet metal thing. Kinda like what I did for the TEST Vertical Smile.
If you look close at the second pic you can see how I bent the ends at a 90* with tabs, for the tranny mount.

here's one I made

I used some small alum. angle to bolt it to the lower link holes and then bolted the skid to that

My frame isn't a Bulu, but it's close. I made my skid out of HDPE, the plastic that cutting boards are made of. It's 1/4" thick and is routed out to clear the tranny and side plates. I made it this way so that I could curve the front and back, and also to screw into it from the side plates. It takes a little more work than some of the other skids, but it's very solid, and slides right over everything. Good luck.

I've used lexan cut & bent to fit the underside. Worked well. I've also used a piece of aluminum sheet cut to fit, then bend up the forward and rear sections to make that clean look. Some triming might be needed to help clear any driveline issues.

Best way to secure the skid was double sided tape. After several good hits the skid will start to make a "clicking" sound. Just tweak it a bit more.

RBGerrish has my old B2 skidplate.... thief!
