The Crawler P.o.d.

AKA - Revoster's build.

This is a design I came up with a while back and couldn't get anyone to bit on it. NOW finally Revoster decided to go with the design and he's been waiting for me to get pics up.

It's not going to be exactly like the concept but really close because as you build you find things that can or doesn't need to be there.

Any way, The specs I have.
TLT Axles
Tube frame 3/16"
Stealh type tranny
Maxx shocks
12.5" WB

Revoster can add the rest or change what I didn't get right.

The concept drawing.

My hand and eye cordination. Really. I just kind of eye ball it and make a bunch of little bends till it's where it's supposed to be. Takes a while but turns out nice. and the 3/16" bends easily.
For larger bends like I did on Shush Yaz I used my leg as a center point.

Thanks. I'm just about done with yours I have to finish the tranny mount. I need to post the pics I have.

supercrawlerfreak 09-29-2006 02:47 PM

isnt that 1/4" brakeline tubeing. im useing 1/4'' on the bronco. I looked at the 3/16" and it was tiny

Double J 09-29-2006 02:58 PM

It's 3/16. It's only like a 1/16 of an inch difference but yeah they look ultra small side by side.

I also did the General (aka dilatory crawler) in 3/16" tube.

Looks neat, kinda reminds me of someones dome with a receding hair line. I'm really excited about this one, its much more different than I expected when I first saw the drawings a few months ago.

Looks awsome. I'll also run a moped and a 20t moter.(lathe soon to come.) Right know I'm sticking with the tlt shocks because I'm broke.

Double J 09-29-2006 04:59 PM

Looks like we'll have to try and find some shocks then..
I'll see if I have any maxx that aren't being used.

revoster 10-03-2006 07:47 AM

Double J 10-03-2006 08:32 AM
