|  axle pins?
Is there anywhere to buy the axle pins that keep the hex from spinning on the axle? They're too easy to lose to not be able to get more of them. I can find them for everything but a tlt. If not, what bag (a,b,c,d,e) did they come in and maybe I can just get that. Thanks! |

i'd try to go to the hardware store and see if ya can find Roll pins that will fit , ya wont lose a roll pin

To keep the hex pin from coming out of the axle when you remove the hex,just put a little med strength loctite on the pin and reinstall it.Reinstall hex over pin put tire/wheel on,tighten nut and let dry overnight.If you need to remove it,pull it out with pliers.  |

I hacked up a drill bit and used that for a hex pin one time, although it wasn't on a TLT. Find an old drill bit that is the same diameter as the old pin and cut the end off at the pength that you need. It worked for me!

You can use Traxxas Stampede hexes and pins, most hobby shops have them in stock. These hexes won't crack over time like the stockers either.  http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJH98&P=Z |

I've used an alan wrench of the same dia. as an axle pin. You just have to cut it down and the whole length of the wrench can be used so you have extra.

actually there are some hpi pins that work too. couple different companys out there that have pins that work just bring a pin into your local hobby grab some pins and see if they are the same size. |

Our local hobby store closed....never knew how nice it was to have it till it now :-( I'm gonna head to the hardware store and get some stuff for my front dig and see if I find something. If not I'll pickup the traxxas pins. Thanks guys |

Yep, if you drop a part you that have plenty more of, it will land right between your feet. Drop something you don't have any replacements for (axle pins are probably at the top of my list) and it falls into a black hole or something, you'll never find it again. I've never found the proper size for a TLT in either of my LHS's either, so I just made some out of the right size steel rod. Well, almost the right size, I had to lightly sand it to fit. And Loc-Tited them in place the last time, I have'nt lost one since. A drill bit or allen key would be tougher, either of them are heat-treated. But I have'nt had any issues w/ just plain steel rod... |

Piano wire cut with a Dremel to the proper length works great too. YOu get alot of pins out of a 3 foot length.
