Default Defender nededs help with servo choice

Sir,

I just want to ask what's the minimum torque reqirement for 2.2 crawlers..Im using an s3003 stock servo on my TLT based crawler and I feel its inadequate..will 4.5 kg of torque be sufficient for my application..its a single steering setup. Thanks in advance

if $$ is an issue, try the towerpro (chicken butt) servo, very well priced and has plenty of torque.

remove any and all servo-savers as well when you go to a metal geared servo

but thats how gears get stripped...i like to clue my savers with some thin CA that way if they do take a hard hit the glue will (hopefully) break saving the servo gears

Thanks for the replies..I just bought a JR 577 servo, I hope it has enough torque. How do I know if i running it as a 4.8v or 6v?my Tlt uses a 55lathe, 7.2 4200mah nimh, keyence esc w reverse, futaba am RX and the stock servo, JR servo is still in transit..do I have to connect the aux BEC thing that came with the reciever to make it 6v or is my current set up 6 volt already?Lastly, which esc should I use with my tLT, I have an LRP runner w reverse (not the water proof model, mines an old one 19t limit) that's in my other RC, since my keyence has no motor limit, i was thinking of swapping it with the one mounted on the TLT..I need more speed on the other RC.will the LRP able to handle the 55 lathe, because I read somewhere that some esc's have a maximum motor limit..sad thing is that the lrp is kinda old and no specs is available rom their site..thanks in advance
