Default Tracer Chassis?

I want to get a crawler and I was wondering how capable the tracer kit from the crawler store is and how it compares to the SW2 chassis. I can't spend that much over $500 so the tracer is a perfect price for me. I don't have the TLT so i need everything. Also if there are any other chassis that you'd reccomend for around $500 then I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

My 1st experiance with a crawler was a Tracer and believe me save your money and look into the many comp and scale chassis available, if you do your research and shop around you can build a damn capable crawler for well under $500.

There pretty much is no comparison between the Tracer and the SW2. The SW2 uses a stampede tranny whereas the tracer uses the stock tranny, just for starters.

The stock tranny will wear out pretty quick in a crawler application. For 500 bones, you can build yourself a damn nice SW2 crawler and be much happier in the end run.

Use the search feature and then take notes, I also recommend the SW2.

in short : yes you need a reciever.
you can get a moped esc from RcMart.com . do a search ,make sure you get
the 1/10 (V16R) not the 1/18 one
