Default k2-3L vs other chassis?

Been researching stuff all day and am mostly looking at getting into a k2-3L chassis but I was wondering how well they compare to other chassis. Do they flex as well? Looks like shorter shock but then again they are laid back more. I don't wanna build something than wish I had done it differently later.

It really depends on what you want to build. Scaler? Competition? Tuber?

basically a high capable rig but not comp by any means that looks decent. More function over form than anything

this is the very reason most of us have a workbench full of rigs.

the k2 doesnt get a whole lot of flex. it is a fairly capable rig but it doesnt perform anywhere near as well as a comp chassis would. just my .2

i really like the k2, i think it is a cool design, but i would only get one if i was going scale.
There are quite a few cool chassis that are available. I would recomend the sw2 from bender, it is a simple yet effective design. And very very adjustable. That is most of the fun to me, adjusting it.
And it can be set up for tons of artic, or very little. IT is a great all around chassis. And if you wanted to you could even compete with it, i dont compete, but i got it knowing that if i wanted to i could.

K2 3L is a great scale rig
SW2 is a great comp or a back yard rig

i own and drive both... ive got a very well dialed in black SW2 and a scale K2-3L. i honestly feel that if the K2 is setup properly it will do almost anything an SW2 will. my K2 is on 4" tall dirthawgs that have been narrowed for scale look and thet seems to be its only catch. with a set of moabs it would go probably anywhere i want it to. upo in St. George, UT at the UT state finals i got my *** handed to me by a few well set up K2s. between the sw2 and the k2-3l id have to say the k2 is more fun to drive, if you're wanting a truck to have fun with, you'll be happy with the K2. if you want to compete id say go with the J2-TT from reign rc. excellent chassis, without much suspension tuning at all they outperform dialed in SW2s...

You should look up Unimoger's BB-51 chassis that thing is sweet, adjustable and you can get more than enough artic out of it...

But for about a third the price you can't go wrong. Unimoger, love your stuff but for a budget minded build gotta go for the K2.

From all the build up threads on both of these chassis it would seem you would be happy with either one.

I think considering you are not looking for a full comp chassis, you will be pleased with the performance of either one.

And with the new pricing on the BB-51 makes it a contender to.

I just got a K2-3L and you can get more ground clearance with taller shocks if you wanted to that route.

I am using stock tlt shocks (4") and have around 3.75" of center ground clearance.

it is really with what you want.
Everyone one of these chassis has neat innovative features, you just have to go with what looks best. that is why i chose the sw2, i really like the looks of it, and lots are pleased with how it performs, but that could go for any of these chassis!

I agree with what everyone has to say as far as all the rigs being very capable. However i have both and i feel that the sw2 is a lot easier to change set ups for your liking due to the adjustment options it has to offer.I feel its what you like and what you want to do with your rig. You really cant go wrong with any of the chassis that are available. Those are just my thoughts!
