Looking cool. I was considering getting one myself. How much did it cost with all the additional parts that are needed? Also, is it good quality? Did you have to modify anything to get it to fit? Just wondering, because I'm not very experienced..... |

A tlt build can vairy in costs depending on the parts.I haven't sat down and added everything up ,but I'm sure I'm past $500. quality is first class with the BENDER SW2 chassis and the only modification you have to do is to the drive yokes. it takes about 5 minutes to grind the shoulder off them. it does'nt matter if not to experienced ,I was'nt experienced in rock rocking just nitro rc, but with the GREAT people we have on the forum anything can be done. good luck I hope you tackle it , it's great fun building. question...is everyone locking the stanpede trans too , or leaving it alone? Thanks Frank |
You do want to lock the diff in the tranny too. That'll put equal power to the front and rear axle. |
does it matter what you use hot glue or JB weld?? Thanks Frank |
Thanks for the advice! :) |
i wouldn't use hot glue, i tried it at first, but after about 10 runs it came unlocked. So iused gorilla glue, and no signs of failure yet. |
really....the stuff at home depot??? |

My guess is that you've got something like this in your garage too! http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-...400-medium.jpg I guess I can't go with the other bike in my garage...a 2006 Harley. Doesn't really fit the off-road theme! |
2 Attachment(s) the white part in the tranny is the part you take apart and lock right?? Thanks Frank |
Yes, the white part/differential in the transimssion is the part you want to lock up. JB Weld works great BTW... |
Nice EXC! Mine is an SX with the MXC tank on it. I use the Quick Steel putty...just pull some off, knead it up and stuff it. Quick and easy. |
where do you get that kind of putty...sounds nice and clean...I can't wait till this cold wheather is gone so I can take it out and ride. I bought it at the end of last season and did'nt get to ride that much. Thanks frank |
