The 8t that comes with it worked olk for me, but a 10t gives a little more balance between wheel speed and torque.

I'm using a 22 turn and a 16 tooth pinion, it works awesome!

dude i had a 55t and a 19t and it was sloooow. too slow for my tastes and i got a 35t with 19t and its just right, i am not really a "crawler." i like the 35t wheels speed better than torque. for a crawler I would run a 16t with the r2 and 55t

I run a 55t Matrix hand wound, a 16t, a Mamba Max and 6 or 8 cells. With either 6 or 8 cells it is very smooth at start up and slow speed. With 6 cells the wheel speed is pretty good and works ok for comps. With 8 cells the wheel speed is great.
