stuck with bushing

I got my teflon seal bearings from R2J but I can't put them on the axle because every thing is JB welded together and I can't get them out. I bought unassembled crawler on RCU( vertical Smile) and the diffs were already locked. I put the bearings in the hub and on the pinion, I guess I am stuck with the bushings on the axles.

The shafts are glued to the differential? Wow, the person you bought that from went a little crazy...

oh that sucks, cause now when axles get broken you gotta replace the whole thing. well better start now looking for spare parts

The bushings are Jb welded to the axles? now the bushing will spin and wear down the plastic axles...not to mention more drag

It sounds like the bushings are free to spin, but they are on the shafts and the shafts are stuck inside the diff...

Nothing a hammer and vice can't fix."thumbsup"

I did the bearing swap last night on the Rick scaler. The shaft had Jb ozzing out. Couple taps with a hammer is enough to break the bond. Besides what have you got to lose. I mean they break your not out anymore then you are now.

I think I saw on here somewhere that Gasoline can dissolve JB.

So you could try tossing it into a a cup full of gas overnight and see what happens...

Might soften things up enough for the hammer trick to work...

yep here it is...

I will have to try gas, thanks

It might be less painful just to start over.

you could keep those inwards for back up axles. Just buy some axle casings and spare axle!
