| Comp TLT
This is my first TLT, so it has taken me a while to complete. My other rigs are both Clods. This will be used for compititions in the 2007 SERCRC and ETRC point series in locations that are better suited for the TLT (like Buck's Pocket in Alabama). Some specs: Some spec's: Mamba Max esc Hyperion z3013-14 outrunner Losi triple-x transmission 13t pinion, 88t spur gear Pimp Slap torsion chassis Hitec HS-645mg steering servo 8 cell Energizer 2500mah battery Yeah Racing tlt aluminum knuckles 2.2 proline moabs traxxas stampede wheels (narrowed) Fat-Rock aluminum axle C's Jato shafts Front dig via JR XR3 3rd channel and HS-645mg No wideners yet, I'm still trying to decide what kind I want to use. Pictures: And a little video. My dad was driving, it was his first time at the wheel and my first time trying to do video for posting...so don't expect too much. |

That looks preety sweet, but I though that brushless motors were tiny, all I can say is I feel sorry for the jato shafts. |

Looks great! I dig the paint, that looks pretty trick. How'd you accomplish adapting the XXX transmission to Jato shafts? Looks like you just bolted a outdrive into the drive cup? The big ol' brushless looks like fun. |

thats a really nice setup, and your dig setup is very clean, by far the next mod on my list is a new tranny w/dig

5?! Dang, I was hoping this setup would make it easier for me to have a chance at winning. MafiaxB: The dig engages/disengages really well, I don't know if I will even bother using a lockout for the rear. For compitition, dig is definately a plus.

Well I really didn't want to bother with a complex dig lock out, so I kept it simple. I reemed a 17mm hex out a just enough to fit on the end of the female jato shaft and added a set screw. Now when the shaft is disengaged the hex is pressed up against the pimp slaps rear tie rod, causing it to stop the rear end. Some pics and a vid: 4wd Dig, the hex is pressed up against tie rod In action Also I made a spool for the Losi tranny. Seems to work so far. |

bronco: The white spacers are from Lowes and held on with set screws and CA glue. The hex is a 17mm wheel hex I borrowed from my 1/8 buggy and I added a set screw to hold it in place. The servo is a Hitec 645mg. The shafts are 2 male and 1 female Jato drive shafts. And all the metal plates and plastic mounts were made by me. Gimbal: Thanks, I just learned how to use a lathe and that was the first thing I made (besides the practice pieces). I took 2nd place at this past weekends ETRC compitition, Ray pulled off a nice win (and he didn't even have dig ). The dig worked flawlessly, so I don't think there will be too many changes to it.
