Hey, how do you like the pede tranny mounted that way? I was going to mount mine that way but didn't like how far apart the chassis plates would have to be.

Yeah I tweaked that poor radio I love the laydown design, it's the best way to go. This chassie really isnt that wide and more then makes up for it with the ground clearance and COG. |

Is that also a spyshot of the latest incarnation of your production chassis...? Wheels look great on there. What body you plan on using? |

Yup! This is the same truck we're sending to the scale chassie compairison too I have a black proline Crowd pleaser that's been slammed on it for now-may go to a "heep" body later. Here's a link for the people who are interested in the wheels: http://www.rc-parts.com/faze.htm |

Well we *kinda* ditched the other design. We decided that we could build something better and more origonal-I think we succeded We should be able to sell these guys for around $35-50 due to the sideplates being so small (material and machine cost) and we're trying to avoid pre-orders at all costs Release date is April 3rd, at the Green River Crawlfest and the winner there will get the first CNC we that comes off the line. Heh heh... I see someone going the same route I did... I replied to your other thread... make sure you go all the way through the options if you're going through emachine shop... there are some hidden costs that can bite your butt at the end of the order. (anywhere from $20-40, finishing costs, packaging, and specific machinist commands)

I was really bummed cuz I had been waiting to buy a few sets of their wheels. Highmark, I am really jealous of the wheels, they look great. Looks like a nice design on the rest of the rig, I look forward to seeing it in the Chassis Shootout.

| similar to mine as well
i Made a chassis very similar to that as well but a little longer. actually to long byu about an inch. i also laid my transmission flat like that the only part about that i do not like is that it makes your driveline angles more severe. if you mount your tranny straight up it will raise your cog by maybe 3/4 inch? didn't measure it but guessing. but you will save on drive line angles. for me that is important cuz i am running max sliders and not pede. also running about 13.5 inch wheelbase which is a tad to long for me so I have to remount my tranny veritcal and drop the tranny between the plates to lessen those angles!

Wow guess I set a trend eh? Actualy the driveline angles on this truck are as good as any of my stand up chassie's-well probably better. The transmission still has the hing pin holes that most guys trim off because they get in the way on most trucks. The COG is nuts-I'll have to snap some pics off when I get my other TLT to show the diffrence Another good thing about this guy is the 3.5 pound RTR wieght thanks to that chassie and the GP1100 pack Last edited by Highmark; 03-02-2005 at 08:27 PM.
