Default Busted's '08 Sinastir Comp Plate TLT

Well after doing a 3 day build to get the SW2 up and running and doing well with it I am off to a good start on the rebuild of the 2.2.

On to the tech specs:

Sinastir Crawlers SCP chassis
R2D with teflon bushing
7T Cobalt Puller
8x 2/3A battery
645 steering servo (for now)
JR servo for dig (whatever I had lying around)
MSD dished AL wheels wrapped in M3 Moabs with Red Kreepys all around
Super Rooster ESC
Losi's Shocks
Losi Grappler body (mounted just above bottom of frame...I learned that the had way last year) which needs more trimming as its too wide still :o

Don't worry about that I will. Like I said some more length on the chassis would be great, and a few more upper link mounting holes.

Keith she is sitting at 3-1/4" at the skid. Not much I can do other than limit the shocks. Out of adjusting holes in the chassis looks like time for rev2 on the chassis.

Good to see another fellow Pa setup here on the boards.

I think your clearance will serve well on alot of Pa terrain. Im running 2 1/2" on a narrowed stock chassis Axial and a GC1 TLT. Takes alot to bump it over but I like the stability.

sounds like it is time to try droop or 50/50 set-up....

Not so sure about that just yet. Will know more after Wed's test run. The SW2 I ran all last season was 2.5-3 inches of clearance and was nice. Had to bump it often, but that is not an issue, given that I went from 6 cells and a 45T lathe to 8 cells and a 7T puller.

Cool, can't wait to see what you have going.

Nah no droop been there done that not for me. Maybe a 50/50 but that is even doubtful, since once again been there done that. May narrow up the chassis so I can reach the upper shock mounts, as for my driving style sprung works better.

No would rather go with a shorter shock, or limit my Losis to 3.5in.

surprisingly, REVO shocks are very good 3.5 units. pistons are held in place by a nut, threaded bodes, ball joints on both ends...

only downside is that they are a bit on the large side....

The Good on the Truck:

The 3.125 center clearance
Dig
MSD wheels with Red Kreepys and M3 Moabs
Losi shocks
7T puller

The Bad:

Need more locknuts on everything
7T puller with a 12T pinion is VERY hard on 2/3A packs
Torque twist due to 30wt oil in the losi shocks.

So far it is as capable if not a lot more so that the SW2. It needs some more lead in the front to help on climbs, and oil change in the shocks. But it runs great.
